Jim Carrey makes “Horton” a runaway hit!
Jim Carrey takes his biggest box office smash hit in five years with “Horton Hears a Who!”, the stellar cast included Steve Carell (The Mayor of Whoville), Amy Poehler (Sally O’Malley), Seth Rogan (Morton) and Carol Burnett (Kangaroo). Dr. Seuss’ colorful tale of a lovable and unassuming Elephant trying to save the community of Whoville that resides on a spec of dust. Lifted from the pages to the minds of Jimmy Hayward and Steve Martino “Horton” proves that it’s a film for all ages and took home $45 mil at the box office this weekend. A brand new film that performed poorly at the box office was “Doomsday” a typical film about a virus spreading all around British isles. “Doomsday” took home $4 mil and landed in at number 7. The film starred unknowns and was directed and written by Neil Marshall.
